A series of four reliefs: Old Man River-River God, Old Man River-River God alternative, French Explorer, and Cotton Pickers. These were created for a competition for a commission of a government building in Louisiana. The themes of the sculptures are derived from the history of the location: Mississippi River, French settlers in that area of the country, and a cotton growing state.
