The 44-foot long relief mural was originally located at the Fort Street Union Depot in Detroit, Michigan. All three reliefs have since been relocated to the B. & O. Railroad Museum in Baltimore, Maryland.
Ink on tracing paper
20" x 2.25"

When Fredericks first started designing this sculpture he thought of using many forms of transportation rather than just a large train. The imagery relates to the notion of the iron horse, the name given to early trains.
